A prayer for the holliday
“Heavenly Father, I beg for Your physical and spiritual protection for all police officers, wherever they may be. Lord, help us to remember that our actions have consequences that can impact those we are sworn to protect. Protect us from those who try to sway our faith or tempt us to compromise our standards. Place an invisible barrier over us that reminds us of Your protective love and that we belong to You.
Thank You for Your promise never to leave us or neglect us and that Your Spirit lives inside of us to give wisdom, understanding, and security against those who want to pull us away or hurt us. This Holliday season is filled with so much love and joy; we pray that You keep our officers safe from harm and You comfort those who wait anxiously for their loved one to return home. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Let us pray,
Almighty God, whose great power and eternal wisdom embrace our police family. Watch over Officer (insert name here) and all our law enforcement officers here at (Insert Department Name Here). Father in Heaven, please give Officer (insert name here) the strength, courage, and perseverance to endure the unjust danger, hardship, heartache, and physical abuse to which they are sometimes subjected. We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous. Dear God, grant the brave officer of our department your almighty protection and unite them safely with their families after their duty has ended. This we pray in your name, Amen.

We thank You for Your grace and gift of eternal life! I ask for Your continued grace, blessings, and Divine protection for our staff working today to keep others safe here at Texas State University. If called to be warriors, we ask that you grant these officers the courage and strength to respond, and if called to be guardians, we ask that you bless these officers with the love, care, and compassion to serve those in most need.
I ask for Your Divine Wisdom to guide us throughout today's events. Guide our command staff and supervisors so they can think clearly, plan tirelessly, and act decisively. Shield our team from the enemy's weapons and intentions. Help us remember our training and, if necessary, apply those lessons to the swift defeat of those who choose to do us harm.
Father, I appeal to Your Divine Justice to grant us your protection!
I ask this in the name of the Lord and my Savior, Jesus Christ.
